Hi!
I’m Tanaka Jeter
Founder + Interior Designer
Born in Ohio and raised in Canada, my path eventually brought me back to the United States, where I discovered interior design and found a field that brought together so much of what naturally interested me. Which is creativity, problem-solving, people, and the way our surroundings influence everyday life.
I earned my Bachelor of Interior Design from Louisiana State University, where my education gave me a strong foundation in both residential and commercial design, from space planning and material selection to construction documentation and visualization. Since then, my professional experience has continued to shape the way I think about design beyond the classroom and approach real spaces, real constraints, and the people behind them.
I founded Interiors by Tanaka as a space to develop a body of work that feels distinctly my own and to work directly with clients who value thoughtful, personal design. As an independent studio, each project is personally designed and guided by me from the first conversation through the final design.
For me, this studio is both a creative practice and something I intend to grow with purpose one project, one client, and one thoughtfully designed space at a time.
